Huddersfield fills chancellor vacancy left by Prince Andrew

Businessman and Huddersfield graduate George Buckley to take on chancellor role

The University of Huddersfield has appointed one of its former students as chancellor, replacing Prince Andrew who resigned from the role last year following widespread scrutiny over his links to New York financier Jeffrey Epstein.

The university revealed that George Buckley, former chief executive of the US-based technology firm 3M and a University of Huddersfield graduate, has been chosen as the university’s next chancellor.
