Proposals will speed up planning, approval and construction of higher education facilities
The state of North Rhine-Westphalia in Germany has presented proposals for rebuilding its ageing university infrastructure.
A significant proportion of university facilities in the state were built in the 1960s and 1970s and are now in need of renovation. The backlog is so large that it will take more than just financial investment to fix the problem, said state science minister Ina Brandes in a statement.
