Cesaer taskforce calls for a “holistic approach” to engineering education

Engineering education needs an increased focus on interdisciplinarity across skills and sectors for the profession to tackle global challenges, a university group has said.

A taskforce for the Cesaer group of science and technology universities published a paper on 23 April recommending that “universities should take a holistic approach towards engineering education, emphasising a solid scientific foundation but fostering curiosity for other fields, as well as soft skills”.
