Member states to choose focus areas for developing research and innovation leadership in the field
EU research ministers will hold a policy debate next month on how to build the bloc’s leadership in research and innovation in advanced materials.
Advanced materials are “intentionally designed for superior performance” and are projected to play a central role in the EU’s future competitiveness, strategic autonomy and green and digital transitions, according to a note on the debate that was published by the January-to-June Belgian presidency of the Council of the EU member states on 29 April.
