Spokesperson says Commission engages “in full transparency” with stakeholders after report alleges conflicts went undisclosed

The European Commission has defended its engagement with stakeholders on the EU’s regulation of plants produced by genetic modification, after a report alleged that researchers lobbied for regulatory changes but failed to disclose conflicts of interest.

Researchers and research organisations who spoke to Research Professional News strongly denied the allegations.
