David Lammy’s comments come despite Labour ruling out return of freedom of movement for students
Labour’s new foreign secretary has called for a championing of student exchanges in his quest to improve relations with the EU.
David Lammy said in an article on 7 July that he was “absolutely committed to a close partnership with our European neighbours” and that the UK’s new government “will reset relations with Europe as a reliable partner, a dependable ally and a good neighbour”.
