A corporate plan setting out UK Research and Innovation’s vision for 2020-21 does not mention the planned funding agency modelled on the United States Advanced Research Projects Agency. Former science minister Jo Johnson has said the UK Arpa will take “at least 18 months” to get up and running if it is set up outside UKRI.
