Researchers have the chance to help non-academic organisations prepare for and mitigate the climate crisis

Top tips

  • Develop your proposal together with your host organisation.
  • Show evidence of the potential benefits to the organisation and the wider community.
  • Showcase how your skills are a good fit.
  • If you are a more senior researcher, consider a part-time role.

The Climate Resilience Embedded Researcher Scheme is one of a set of calls run as part of the UK Climate Resilience Programme, launched in the first wave of the Strategic Priorities Fund in 2018. The programme has funding of £18.7 million and is jointly led by the Met Office and UK Research and Innovation.
