The British Academy and the Nuffield Foundation present a community-focused scheme with a twist

Top tips

  • If you don’t have previous experience in community-focused research, show why your research is relevant.
  • Illustrate that you are keen to work with researchers and others from different disciplinary backgrounds.
  • Present yourself as an individual rather than as part of a research group.

The Understanding Communities Fund, launched by the British Academy and the Nuffield Foundation, will support research proposals on community cohesion.
