The Leverhulme Trust’s highly valued Research Fellowships scheme returns with minor tweaks
Top tips
- The fellowships are open to researchers in all disciplines outside medical or clinical research, and interdisciplinary bids are welcome.
- Do not submit very close to the deadline, because your institution needs time to approve your application.
- Think carefully about who to list as a referee; the committee pays close attention to this.
- Check your costs are all eligible.
The Leverhulme Trust’s Research Fellowships scheme is a mainstay of the UK funding landscape. This year, the scheme has undergone some minor changes that benefit applicants: the maximum amount available has increased by £5,000 to £65,000 per project; and only two referees should be submitted, rather than three.
