How the Association for the Study of Animal Behaviour sniffs out the best bids

With its sister organisation the Animal Behavior Society, the Association for the Study of Animal Behaviour (Asab) has “carved up the world”, Kate Lessells, secretary of the grants and awards committee, told us in 2021, before that year’s Research Grants competition got underway.

Once again, Asab has opened this scheme to bids in its field from anywhere in the world outside the Americas (which is the ABS’s purview). Researchers can apply for grants of up to £10,000, and funding can cover equipment, research expenses and salaries. The deadline is 1 June 2023.
