Part one of this two-part primer unpacking a typical research contract ended with the spine-tingling promise that I would reveal the specific circumstances that made disclosing the other party’s confidential information not a breach of contract.

Now it’s time for the big reveal. I can tell you that there are in fact five of these (normally) and, with one exception… you will have to read the contract to find out what they are because your contract will set them out in detail.
