Higher education experts unimpressed by parts of planned OfS condition

Plans to backdate proposals for a temporary condition of registration with the Office for Students to 11 March have received a cool response.

In a consultation on its temporary registration condition, which would give the regulator powers to fine universities more than £500,000 if they make any “unfair” offers to students, the OfS set out plans to backdate the condition to 11 March despite opening the consultation on 4 May.
