Institutions thank Duchess of Sussex for her patronage after role is returned to Queen
The Association of Commonwealth Universities has said that Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle “shone a light on higher education” in her role as a patron for the charity, which she has had to give up after stepping back from working duties of the royal family.
In a statement to Research Professional News, the ACU said Markle had been a “passionate advocate for our mission to build a better world through higher education” during her time as patron for the charity, which she took up in January 2019.
