May return comes too soon for providers, sector bodies warn
Plans to resume Ofsted inspections for initial teacher education in May should be reviewed because they could discourage schools from taking students on placements, the MillionPlus group of universities has warned.
The schools inspectorate confirmed on 29 March that while its full programme of graded school inspections will not resume until September, initial teacher education (ITE) inspections will resume on 4 May.
