Medical journal finds low rate of positive cases uncovered by rapid testing

Asymptomatic Covid-19 testing in universities has been “haphazard and unscientific” and should be paused, an investigation by the British Medical Journal has found.

Data released by the BMJ on 31 March reveal that the rollout of asymptomatic testing in universities since December 2020 has resulted in “very few positive cases” being identified.
