UUK seeks further information on union’s pension plans

Employers call for union’s alternative system to be formally proposed

Universities UK has written to the University and College Union to ask if its proposals for resolving the rancorous university pension scheme row should be “considered formal”, so that its member institutions can be consulted.

UUK is representing employers in the long-running Universities Superannuation Scheme pensions debate, while the UCU represents staff enrolled in the vast and troubled pension scheme.
