Donelan hints at regulation changes for flexible learning

Minister discusses regulation needed for ‘truly transferrable’ modular study

Universities minister Michelle Donelan has said she will make sure the “right regulatory levers” are in place to support a shift towards more modular learning.

In a pre-recorded message for the Independent Higher Education (IHE) 2020 Policy Live conference on 28 October, Donelan said she wants to “build a system that allows truly transferable credits” between institutions, to allow students to pause and pick up their education.
