Plans are afoot to reform the Research Excellence Framework
This morning, science minister Amanda Solloway will address the Higher Education Policy Institute’s webinar on the research landscape. She will tell her invited online audience that it is time for the Research Excellence Framework to be reformed.
The deadline for submissions to REF 2021 has been postponed until 31 March as a result of the coronavirus pandemic. Although this latest iteration of the framework is not yet complete, the government is getting ready to make changes to the national approach to research assessment.
