With rumours circulating that the spending review could see student number caps on some arts courses, while more funding will be directed to short courses and skills acquisition, Fiona McIntyre sat down with Hewitt to discuss university funding, the challenges ahead for students and higher education, and a career that has taken her from leading the Destinations of Leavers from Higher Education survey to being the voice of modern universities.
