On Monday, Playbook warned of another busy week in higher education policy. Regrettably, we were right.
The publication of the government’s policy paper on free speech in universities completed the overly complicated unveiling of plans that were trailed in the weekend papers and teased with a press release embargoed to just after midnight on Tuesday morning, with the final proposals landing on the Department for Education’s website some 11 hours after that.
