Labour leader Keir Starmer laid out his vision yesterday for the next 10 years of British politics, in a speech entitled “A new chapter for Britain”.
While the chapter was not exactly a page-turner, it did suggest a potentially ambitious programme for a country in which people “are now looking for more from their government, like they were after the second world war”. And the good news is that it mentioned universities—just.
