Between government churn and pandemic exhaustion, this might be the time to polish your CV
In a country still dependent on the furlough scheme but with a hospitality industry crying out for workers, some will be pondering whether their next job really does have to be in cyber. Higher education and research are also looking for fresh blood.
That obviously does not include the many universities, from Leicester to Liverpool, East London to Portsmouth, Solent to Aston, that are closing departments or downsizing programmes—something of a poor reward for staff who have taught online for a year during a pandemic. There are, however, opportunities elsewhere.
