The OfS consults on new conditions and a survey gauges support for decolonising the curriculum

Former Scottish first minister Alex Salmond famously inscribed in stone on the campus of Heriot-Watt University that he would not introduce tuition fees to higher education until, quoting Rabbie Burns, the rocks melt wae the sun. So, based on current temperatures, that will be Wednesday.

With an extreme weather warning issued by the Met Office, and students’ brief flirtation with on-campus teaching a fading memory for most, it is understandable that minds have begun to wander to the imminent summer break (not that there is ever really a break for many people in universities).
