This week sees a by-election in a university town
With all the comings and goings in Westminster it is hard to keep up with the UK political scene, so you might not have noticed that there is a by-election on Thursday in Chester.
It follows the resignation of sitting Labour MP Chris Matheson after a parliamentary enquiry found him guilty of sexual misconduct. Matheson refutes much of the report’s findings, but these days Keir Starmer’s Labour Party has little time for misconduct, perceived or real, and the MP’s hand was forced.
