Playbook has spilled much ink covering industrial relations in universities over the past four years. For the most part, we have concentrated on the actions of the University and College Union.

We have covered in detail the twists and turns of the UCU during the ongoing dispute over the Universities Superannuation Scheme (USS) and the ‘four fights’ campaign on precarity, equality, workload and pay. However, we have scandalously paid less attention to the members of other unions who have taken strike action alongside academic colleagues.
