Free tuition for EU students scrapped in Scotland

Free undergraduate education for EU students in Scotland to come to an end

Students from the European Union must pay tuition fees in Scotland from 2021, although “ambitious” scholarships will aim to keep Scotland an attractive destination to study.

On 9 July Richard Lochhead, Scotland’s minister for further education, higher education and science, confirmed free tuition for EU students would come to an end in the 2021-22 academic year due to the “stark reality” of Brexit.
