International students wait for guarantee on face-to-face tuition

Survey reveals importance of in-person teaching to prospective students

A survey of students around the world who are interested in studying at a UK university has shown that 45 per cent would “only feel comfortable travelling overseas to study when campuses are open and face-to-face teaching has resumed”.

Data from UK admissions body Ucas released on 24 September revealed that the number of undergraduate international students recruited by UK universities had increased for the 2020-21 academic year, although the majority of international students in the UK are postgraduate students.
