Entomologist Elizabeth Bandason named inaugural secretary-general
Malawi has launched a science academy led by a woman.
The Academy of Sciences in Malawi was launched on 24 May with Elizabeth Bandason as the first secretary-general. She is an entomologist by training, most recently affiliated with Bunda College in Lilongwe.
