Senior women and postdocs lag at top African universities

Fellowships and female professors should be a priority, says African Research Universities Alliance

Africa’s top research universities are short of postdoctoral fellows and senior women staff, says a report by the African Research Universities Alliance.

The report found that only seven universities in a group of 16 belonging to ARUA had data on postdoctoral fellows: six from South Africa plus Makerere University in Uganda.
