SKA hosting agreement means construction can begin

Signatures will “bring socio-economic benefits” from astronomy project, South African official says

South Africa has formalised its hosting agreement for the Square Kilometre Array that opens the way for construction to begin.

The agreement was signed on 14 October between the SKA Observatory, South Africa and Australia. All signing parties signed the documents in their home locations during a virtual ceremony.
