Biovac looks to raise billions for vaccine production

South African pharma company announces partnership with development banks

South Africa’s national pharmaceutical company has announced a partnership with development banks that it hopes will raise billions of Rands for local vaccine production.

On 1 March Biovac announced a deal with nine local and international development partners*. It said it hopes the deal will eventually secure funding of R2.3 billion (US$150 million).
