The administrator of the United States Agency for International Development has announced a drive to promote local leadership and ownership in the aid agency’s support to sub-Saharan Africa.
Samantha Power announced USAID’s so-called Africa Localization Initiative during a roundtable on the sidelines of this week’s United Nations General Assembly.
