South Africa urged to train more African researchers

Decolonisation will be a boon for science but it will take a lot of work to achieve, according to South African researchers.

“Decolonisation means valuing diversity in research. Diverse and intersectional teams produce better research,” said Rebecca Ackerman, the director of the Human Evolution Research Institute at UCT. She was a speaker at a UCT webinar on decolonisation on 22 September.
