Annual unrest coinciding with student registration under scrutiny

South Africa’s government has commissioned a “comprehensive study” into the protests that happen frequently during universities’ registration period.

Blade Nzimande, the higher education minister, announced the move during a meeting of Parliament’s portfolio committee on higher education, science and technology on 23 March.
