Sarah Mosoetsa will take command of Africa’s largest social sciences research body next year

The Human Sciences Research Council in South Africa has finally appointed a permanent chief executive officer after years of battling to find a replacement for Crain Soudien.

The HSRC is the largest dedicated social sciences and humanities research institute on the African continent, doing public research in areas that it says are crucial to development.
