South African humanities and social science council wants ‘visionary’ leader
South Africa’s Human Sciences Research Council is still scouting for a permanent CEO.
Crain Soudien served in the post from 2015 to 2020. The position was advertised in May 2020 but the board was unable to appoint a candidate. Leickness Simbayi was appointed in an acting capacity in April 2021 and is still in post. The position was advertised again on 4 March this year.
