Science minister makes comments after MPs criticise his department for lack of action
South Africa’s minister of higher education, science and innovation has praised the national space agency’s role in tracking the country’s devastating April floods.
His comments in a 2 June speech to the National Council of Provinces came after MPs on the parliamentary committee criticised what they saw as a lack of action by the Department of Science and Innovation in response to the disaster.
