NHMRC opens call for more Research Translation Centres

           

No direct funding available for Australian health centres, but accreditation brings “prestige”

A national network of medical research translation centres in Australia is set to expand, but a recommendation that it should be funded directly has been turned down.

The National Health and Medical Research Council’s Advanced Health Research and Translation Centres and their regional equivalent, the Centres for Innovation in Regional Health, will be rebadged by the NHMRC as Research Translation Centres.
