2023 Discovery grants include some projects rejected by Australia’s previous government

The latest round of Australian Research Council Discovery grants include projects on democracy and climate change that were rejected by the former coalition government.

The ARC announced on 24 November how it would spend A$221 million in grants. The funds included three of the six grants approved by the council but rejected by the education minister when the grant scheme was run in December 2021.
