Australian Research Council asks assessors to confirm foreign ties

Mandatory extra step for grant assessors will “maintain responsible conduct of research”

The Australian Research Council has said that a “simple but effective change” to its processes will keep research responsible.

In a statement on 12 January, the ARC said that grant application assessors would now have to confirm that their declarations of foreign affiliations were correct and up to date in its Research Management System.
