Australian department aims to protect technologies from foreign interference and theft

Lists of “critical technologies” to be protected from foreign interference are being drawn up by the Critical Technologies Policy Coordination Office within Australia’s Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet.

The office, which was established in July 2020, has released discussion papers on health and agriculture for public comment and is planning to release further papers on biotechnology and photonics.
