Will this year see more rows over political interference, commercialisation and funding reforms?

After two years of the Covid-19 pandemic, researchers, university leaders and students in Australia and New Zealand could be forgiven for wanting to get back to the way things were. But, even if the pandemic is put behind us, this seems unlikely as more big changes are ready to shape policy agendas in 2022. Here are five key areas to watch.
