Australian climate council urges redress of “decade of cuts” as country struggles to adapt
Australia urgently needs to increase its research capacity in disaster management and climate change, a report has warned.
The 28 November report from the Climate Council said that “a decade of cuts” has hampered the nation’s ability to respond to global warming and its impact on the country. The report—titled The Great Deluge—said that authorities across the country need to urgently invest in measures to better respond to climate change impacts.
