Australia’s QIMR Berghofer launches full review after external investigation finds “breaches”

A prominent immunology researcher has been referred to Queensland’s Crime and Corruption Commission after an investigation by a retired judge.

Queensland’s QIMR Berghofer Medical Research Institute (pictured) issued a statement on 24 November to say that Mark Smyth, a professor described as a “former employee”, had been the subject of complaints about his “research conduct”.
