Coalition of academies publishes plan for Australia-wide action on reaching net zero by 2050

A group of leading researchers has called for better coordination in Australia’s climate research.

Efforts to reform energy use need to take into account the “human and social dimensions”, and the onus is on funding bodies to ensure critical research gaps are filled, according to an energy transition plan published by the Australian Council of Learned Academies on 17 June, following a consultation process.
