Novel research shows Tasmania has been “net carbon negative” for years thanks to reduced logging

Carbon accounting methods are undervaluing the contribution of native forests, research has shown.

In a piece published on 28 April in the journal Environmental Research Letters, Australian National University and Griffith University researchers said that Tasmania had been “net carbon negative” for years.
