Vice-chancellors point to Australian government figures as proof of universities’ commitment to supporting the nation

Australian universities spent nearly A$12.7 billion on research activities in 2020, data from the Australian Bureau of Statistics have shown.

The vice-chancellors’ group Universities Australia said the figures showed that the sector was committed to using research to improve Australia’s productivity and overall quality of life.
