Institutions need more support to help “build a better future” for the country

Australian universities should be seeking a “thorough reset” as they emerge from the pandemic under a new government, the chair of the vice-chancellors’ group Universities Australia has said.

Speaking at the National Press Club on 6 July, John Dewar said that “Australia’s universities can no longer be thought of somehow as set apart from the national community that supports them”.
