Australian higher education’s research and training roles emphasised in five-year report

Getting the most out of Australia’s universities may require thinking beyond traditional “commercialisation”, the national Productivity Commission has said. 

In its interim five-year report, released on 3 August, the commission says that “getting value from university expertise could be as much about person-to-person connections as commercialising academic intellectual property”.
